Feng shui & birth profiling (BaZi)

Had a couple of interesting feng shui and spirituality lessons from Kim Gil recently and the information I’ve learned has been absolutely mind blowing. I’ve never been very religious nor spiritual, but this encounter has opened up my mind in so many ways.

Let’s just start by saying the principles behind feng shui can be quite complicated and overwhelming. There are sooo many factors and variables to consider. In the short amount of time she spent with us, Kim taught us everything from Qi (Chi), to the different types of luck (the Cosmic Trinity of Heaven, Man and Earth), to feng shui (the art of placement in relation to positive or negative energy), yin and yang forces, to the five Qi elements (water, wood, fire, earth and metal) and learning about our personal trigram, Gua and knowing our annual stars based on the Luo Shu square. I’m pretty fascinated by all of us, but the one thing that intrigued me the most was the birth profiling (called Ba Zi in Chinese). This is where you can read the blueprint of someone’s destiny or fate based on the year, month, day, and time of birth. This was mine:

What she told me about my birth configuration and profile was unbelievably and eerily accurate. Based on my natal chart, I am Yang/Wood. Still not exactly sure what that’s supposed to mean, but I am missing the water element in my life. That means I need to surround myself with people who are water element, and any year that has water element is best for me as Water nurtures Wood. She also told me that I am destined to have a spouse that controls me and makes most of the decisions in the household. Not so sure about that one, but take it with a grain of salt, right? Apparently, I’m super talented and extremely gifted lol. Kim says she’s only seen 1 other birth chart who has all 10 profile strengths. It’s a blessing, but it’s also a curse. Because I am so good at everything, I don’t know what to focus on so I become a jack of all trades rather than a master of one. This is so spot-on. She says because I am too talented and great at everything, oftentimes men feel intimidated by me and do not feel worthy enough lol. Guess we need to ask Henry if that’s true.

According to my birth chart, I will have lots of wealth between the ages of 30 to 35 and it will come indirectly, meaning either in the form of residual income, investments, real estate, lottery, etc (not by my own personal effort). No major catastrophes or conflicts, that I have 2 noble people guarding me in my life (an Ox and Rabbit, apparently), and basically that I’m blessed. She mentioned I had the peach blossom star between the ages of 15 to 25, this is around the time when I started dating Henry. The peach blossom star appears by affecting one’s emotional life, sexual desire, charm and love, marriage, and/or uncover hidden dark side. When asked about my parents, she says my chart shows my mother is my direct link to wealth and that my dad doesn’t help financially. This is true, since my mom raised me as a single mother so my dad was never in the picture. The interesting part is, my mom went to a fortune teller once and was told that I would be the child who will bring the family fortune and prosperity. And now I’m told I’m my mom’s direct link to wealth! Coincidence? She also told me that daughter is also my direct link to wealth, too.

Right now we are in Period 8, that’s why the number “8” is a lucky star from now until 2023 (see chart below). A new year re-starts every February and periods change every 19 years or so. Kim advised those who were planning to build or customize a home in the next few years to be planning for the future and using feng shui principles based on Period 9 to bring optimal luck and energy into the new home.

A lot of this stuff sounds crazy and almost hocus-pocus, and I’m still not sure if I’m 100% convinced, but you can’t doubt the accuracy it’s predicted thus far. I’ve always been a believer in fate and that everything happens for a reason, nothing happens by chance, and this just reinforces my belief. As far as Ba Zi goes, everything is traceable and it all stems from the time and date of your birth! I know these readings aren’t supposed to transform my life or predict my future, but I’m going  to use this “forecast” to guide me to make favourable choices that will optimize my future, to take advantage of periods where I seemingly have the most luck and precautions I need to take or avoid during dark periods. At the end of the day, what it really comes down to is your belief level. You manifest what you believe. And if I truly believe I will be an EVC and super wealthy when I’m 30, the universe is going to conspire to make that happen!

  1. Feng Shui and Chinese astrology are fascinating! I’ve had the opportunity to attend to one class (which was only a tiny introduction) and it was mind blowing for me too! ♡

      1. It was done at my astrology school in London. My teacher there is really good and with his Gemini rising is always interested in promoting variety. We had a lecture with a very well known man in the field of Chinese studies, Richard something (I can’t remember as it was a long time ago!).. but it was fascinating!
